In January 2016 Celebrity chef Curtis Stone teamed up with Princess Cruises for his first-at-sea specialty restaurant serving high-quality, inventive food. During Ruby Princess' dry dock, Share replaced the signature Italian Sabatini's and introduced new bedding, dining options, entertainment and more. Its menu features five areas from which to select multiple dishes and a charcuterie platter.

Lunch choices may include unusual dishes like peanut butter sandwiches and fried banana. For the 178 mini-suites (323 square feet), the balconies are less deep, the space given to the small sitting area that has a sofa bed and coffee table. Compared to the balcony staterooms, mini-suites are more spacious. They sport private balconies, two televisions, and a bathtub-shower combo.

Grab a freshly baked croissant to start your day, snack on pies and quiche or choose from a wide variety of salads and sandwiches at lunchtime, and indulge in decadent desserts in the evening. Coffee and tea fans will love the New Grounds Crafted Coffee menu featuring a variety of specialty espresso-based drinks made from a custom blend of coffee beans, as well as iced tea fusions. Princess offers a selection of staterooms that provide full wheelchair-turning space.

Wheelhouse Bar has also hopped onto the gastropub trend and serves rich, gourmet pub bites. Dining options are ample for Ruby’s one- to-two week itineraries. Ruby’s passenger demographic depends on the itinerary’s length and destination. Generally the ship attracts a multicultural mix of Americans and Canadians from 40 to 70 years of age. Longer sailings and Alaska skew older, though grandkids do tag along in the summer months.
Crudities, prepared salads, and tapas are in individual serve bowls, making for easy self-service, elegant presentation, and safer food hygiene. Passengers can help themselves to bread, a salad bar, cold cuts, sandwiches, soups, pastas, grilled or roasted meats and seafood, plenty of side dishes, Indian food, rice, and Asian stir-fry. To give you an idea, it was christened in 2008 by Trista and Ryan Sutter from the The Bachelorette, a reference only those who lived the reality TV craze of the late aughts would understand. Though it was refurbished in 2018, the vessel shows its age with its dated theater and boring, albeit serviceable, comfortable staterooms. Ruby is scheduled for a dry dock makeover September/October 2023.
The pool deck features two family pools, lots of loungers, a few dining and drinking options – including the Ruby Princess buffet – and a friendly atmosphere. Despite the ample sundeck around it, the area can get busy, especially on sea days, but there is a quieter, more secluded pool down a short flight of stairs, on Deck 14 aft. Princess offers two optional dining options that will be among the most memorable you will ever experience. The first specialty meal on Princess ships is the Chef's Table. This meal starts with canapes and champagne in the galley, followed by an amazing meal accompanied by select wines, and ending with an elaborate dessert.
Concentric rows of bistro tables surround the stage and screen. As the name suggests, the theme of the eye catching decor is the olden days of exploration and tomb raiding of Asian antiquities. At Club Fusion, large scale photos pay homage to the Golden Age of Hollywood. This is the energy-filled venue for dance classes and bingo by day, music trivia and theme parties at night. The club is equipped with professional lighting and sound equipment, plus an enormous dance floor. The Piazza, the golden atrium spanning three decks, is gorgeous and grand.

Da Vinci also welcomes guests for waiter-service breakfast and lunch. Rotating menu options include soups, appetizers, mains and desserts. There are also signature pasta and choices like Caesar salad and salmon. Cafe Caribe and Horizon Court look identical and are open all day long. The Horizon section serves as a lido buffet restaurant and features breakfast buffets.
Dining
The menu also includes wine flights and a selection of unique wines by the glass. Gourmet delicacies, such as antipasti and tapas, are complimentary with any wine purchase. Our top-deck pizzeria features a bold new look that sets the stage for tempting toppings and classic favorites. Try a slice of our award-winning signature Neapolitan-style pizza. Go simple and delicious with just cheese, or mix it up with a variety of toppings that change daily. These suites are for larger families or groups traveling together and include special suite-only benefits and two bathrooms — connected by a large living room, which leads to an expansive private balcony.

Fresh from a multi-million dollar renovation, Ruby Princess is a luminous jewel on the seas and a romantic destination in itself. The entire evening could be spent at nautical-themed Wheelhouse Bar since it has a dance floor, stage, and gastropub food menu. Explorer’s Lounge is the place for trivia, game shows, challenges, and live music.
Princess Cruises has introduced a special exclusive breakfast in Sabatini's for suite passengers, providing an additional incentive for booking one of these beautiful accommodations. In addition to all of these new features, the Ruby Princess continues to include many of the design, cuisine, and entertainment elements found on its sister ships. For example, in the Horizon Court buffet, fresh, cooked-to-order waffles are available at breakfast and throughout lunchtime, and the buffet now serves complimentary lemonade as a beverage choice. In the evening, several of the ship's public lounges offer a selection of canapes.
The shorter five- to-seven day Mexico and Caribbean winter getaways attract more families and multigenerational groups. The newly refurbished, beautifully decorated Camp Discovery kids’ club ensures youth are well entertained. 1Activities, dining and entertainment options vary by ship and are subject to change.
